Spiritual Awareness Through Politics
"To me, politics is about elevating your values to a position of sovereignty."
I have only recently observed the politics of society, but I have been witnessing the politics within my own home since childhood.
No matter how clever a person considers themselves to be, I have silently observed their every move. Why? Even if I were to attribute this to my nature, I would never be truly satisfied with that explanation—why?
Because it would inevitably lead to another question: why is my nature the way it is?
Not all my family members are like this; so, why do we have such different temperaments?
What do I consider 'politics' to be? Why did I use that word?
Many people label others as cunning, liars, or swindlers. Yet, I have always seen them all lose. They will keep losing, but they will never admit defeat.
To me, politics is about elevating your values to a position of sovereignty—a 'royal' status.
This sovereignty isn't just about exercising external authority over others (which is merely enslavement); it is about leaving a lasting impression on their hearts.
I witnessed this kind of politics among the women in my household. The deepest form of this politics is playing with people's emotions—whether they are relatives or neighbors.
In the narrowing of my eyes, a thinker would constantly write observations upon the furrows of my brow—signing them with the ink of silence on the paper of silence, using the pen of conscious awareness.
Wrong, wrong, wrong.
The 'cross' mark I mentally placed on others' actions and reactions seemed to yearn for a positive symbol—or perhaps it was searching for a positive mark within myself.
If I were to engage in this game of politics, how would I play it? I would experiment with it within myself. Then, having earned the honest satisfaction of a small victory, I would move on to the next player.
My politics is defined by this: even if I win, no one else should feel the sting of defeat. That has always been my primary rule.
