Not the Age of Information—but of Direct Experience
When Nature Becomes the Teacher of Today’s Generation
When the heat of thirty-two years of life dissolved, joy blossomed within me, and love longed to walk toward people and embrace them; I saw life expand in an entirely new way.
I asked myself:
What is life?
Whether it is the life of a human being, a bird, an animal, a nation, or a religion—every life ultimately searches for love.
But where do we search for it?
Searching for Love in the Pit of Pain
We often search for love in the pit of pain. What, then, do we find there?
Gradually, life turns into a deathlike silence. Its vitality, enthusiasm, and inner music disappear.
Our lives continue to ache upon the fire of pain. The air around that fire is stress, its heat is anxiety, and even its silence is soaked in suffering.
In such a condition, how can we know what rest, happiness, peace, or love truly is?
When the mind is surrounded by the noise it has created, it cannot hear life's gentle voice.
“When we search for love in the pit of pain, we do not gather love—we harvest another season of suffering.”
This Is the Age of Speed
We often call this the age of technology. I would call it the age of speed.
The intelligence of today’s child cannot be fully served by the same old kindergarten, primary school, and memorization system. This generation possesses a unique understanding; it therefore needs unique, nature-centered schools.
Schools that do not merely teach children to read words, but teach them to read life.
Schools that do not make them wait ten years to complete ten grades, but allow every meaningful experience to become a doctorate in living.
Here, a doctorate does not mean an academic title. It means the maturity to recognize an experience, understand it, and embody it in daily life.
“Today’s child does not need understanding that arrives ten years later, but intelligence that awakens in the present moment.”
Education That Can Keep Pace
Today’s generation does not merely need more information. It needs an extraordinary environment and direction that can support the speed of its understanding.
When education fails to move with a child’s inner rhythm, the mind either becomes restless or loses its natural curiosity.
Only then will our way of living evolve alongside the mind and intellect.
True education does not merely teach us how to succeed in the world. It also teaches us how to stay healthy, how to love, how to become peaceful, and how to use our intelligence for humanity's well-being.
Nature as a Living School
Today’s generation can receive this direction from nature.
When nature becomes the teacher and guide, the new generation will become not only intelligent but healthy.
This health will not belong to the body alone. It will include the health of the mind, intellect, emotions, perception, and understanding.
We must create a natural environment in which every particle carries the wisdom of life.
Sacred writings will then cease to be words imprisoned inside books. Their truth will come alive before the child through nature, science, play, art, and everyday experience.
Repeating ancient wisdom is not enough. We must clothe it in freshness and present it anew to the modern generation.
This Is Not Merely the Age of Information
Information is already present on every screen. Thousands of answers can be found in a moment, but a mountain of information does not automatically become understanding.
This is the age of direct encounter.
Today, people do not want only instant coffee—they also need an immediate experience that brings them face-to-face with themselves.
An immediate experience does not mean shallow or incomplete knowledge. It means a living method in which no distance exists between learning and experiencing.
“Information reaches the mind; experience transforms the whole being.”
When Inner Pollution Ends, Outer Pollution Will Follow
Such education will not only reduce the pollution of anxiety and stress; it will also help cleanse our physical environment.
When human understanding becomes healthy, it can no longer tolerate pollution in any form.
A mind that recognizes inner poison will not consider outer poison normal.
It will not permit the pollution of thoughts, the body, or relationships. Nor will it accept the pollution of the earth, water, and air.
Environmental purity is inseparable from inner purity. The external world is the visible expression of our collective understanding.
A New Direction for a New Generation
Today’s generation is not weak; it moves at a different speed. Its understanding is not deficient; our teaching methods have grown old.
When education, nature, technology, and direct experience meet within one living school, human beings will become not only clever but also wise, healthy, and compassionate.
Perhaps then we will stop searching for love in the pit of pain and begin recognizing it within our own living presence.
“The school of the future will be one in which nature is the teacher, experience is the book, and awakened understanding is the degree.”
A Question for the Reader
Is our present system of education merely giving children information, or is it truly bringing them face-to-face with life, love, health, and nature?
