The Music of Nature
Introduction
What if the sun is not rising—it is remembering?
What if the river is not flowing—it is teaching?
And what if the flower is not blooming—it is simply being?
In this deeply spiritual reflection, Harjinder Kaur contemplates the silent enlightenment of nature. Through poetic eyes, she explores the relationship between the seed-like human being and the already-awakened natural world. This piece is not merely to be read—it is to be remembered, as if your soul were whispering it back to you.
Already Enlightened: The Music of Nature and the Seed of Humanity
When I saw the sunlight on the mountains,
And felt the cool breeze dancing across my face—
When I saw the trees heavy with fruit,
And the flowers blooming freely without fear—
When I saw the water flowing with grace,
And the leaves falling without regret—
I asked, not with words but with wonder—
Isn’t this… already enlightenment?
Nature does not strive to awaken.
It is already awake.
It does not seek to bloom—it is blooming.
It does not ask to be seen—it shows.
It does not meditate—it is meditation.
When I heard the temple bell ringing,
There was no ‘me’ left to listen to it—
No bell to be heard—
Only a single wave of silence,
Moving through the vastness—
Asking softly, without asking:
"Am I not the music, which is already a musician in itself?"
In that moment, there was no duality—
No inside, no outside,
No subject, no object.
Just… immediate awareness.
O Nature, My Master
O glorious nature,
O wondrous creation—
Where shall I place you?
In the frame of my heart?
In the altar of my breath?
In the silence before my thoughts?
O dear nature, bless me too.
May I become what you already are—
Not by becoming something,
But by being what I already am.
The Seed and the Storm
I understand now:
The individual is the seed form.
Nature is the already-bloomed music of infinity.
Enlightenment is not exclusive.
It is inclusive.
It belongs to all beings:
Persons, animals, birds, trees.
The sky does not pick favorites.
The storm treats everyone equally.
Because the storm knows—
In truth, all are one.
In nature, there is no hierarchy.
Every being is as it is.
The First Step of True Religion
The individual is not yet a person—
He is still a seed.
A breath that has not yet become voice.
But this seed carries the whole cosmos.
And when it breathes in tune with nature,
Religion begins.
Not religion as doctrine,
But religion is a realization.
The sacred beginning—
The first step toward the best.
Final Blessing
Nature,
You are already enlightened.
You are the master who teaches in silence.
Let me dissolve in your truth.
So I, too, may blossom.
Without trying—
Just as you do.
